Funding entity ELCOGAS
This project focuses on developing a flame monitoring system for the Puertollano power plant belonging to the Spanish utility ELCOGAS. The main objective of this system is the automatic flame detection during power plant start-up. Digital image processing techniques and quantitative analysis of the operating conditions are applied in order to achieve this objective. This system will be complemented with spectral analysis of light in a second phase of the project.
